Trust House (THL) is a community owned company based in Masterton. The company operates a range of hospitality businesses across Wairarapa, Pahiatua, Flaxmere and Porirua and they currently own and manage nearly 500 social rental properties. Their operations are commercial yet aim to enhance the wellbeing of people in the region by providing homes to those in the community who need them most.
 
THL is embarking on a complete transformation of its housing portfolio which will mean the sale of some houses, refurbishment of others and full build of around 300 new homes. This is the most fundamental and transformational change in THL’s housing strategy in 25 years. In addition, Trust House has commenced work with other key housing stakeholders to develop a place-based housing strategy for the Wairarapa.  This has resulted in the creation of two new general management level roles.
 
THL has a unique opportunity for an experienced property development general manager to provide direction and accountability for all THL property & infrastructure assets and lead the construction of 300 new houses over the coming years. This is a great role for a leader with demonstrated success in property development and high-level commercial acumen to use their energy to truly make a difference. In addition to leadership and property management experience, the ideal candidate will have:

• Exceptional relationship skills
• High level business acumen, commercial and contract negotiation expertise
• Sound knowledge of building and property management regulation and health & safety
• A good understanding of best practice asset management and building maintenance planning.
